Work Wednesday

Lynnie tried out the Ergo and loved it. They went for a walk together at the beach and Paddy fell asleep in it. Good work Gram!

Introducing the Ergo

Paddy is getting too big for his Snugglie and in preparation for our weekend at the Gympie Muster I decided to spend a ludicrous amount of money on an Ergo Baby Carrier.

The Ergo is highly recommended by cousin Amaya who loves hopping in hers to help her mummy cook and even to have a little sleep.
Paddy had his first run this afternoon - he can either go on the front which is where he spent the most time today. But when Danny got home we switched it around the back.
He loved it...thank goodness! I think tomorrow we might head into Maleny and walk the streets for a bit more practice before the big weekend.

Nanna's Concert

Last night we went to Edgewater to watch Moya's concert. It was really great. Moya sang really well and had her own song which was beautiful. Of course I didn't know any songs but Danny, Michael and Mary-Leigh sang along - "My Old Man's a Dustman" was a favourite. We got dinner, dessert and a show and stubbies were only $2!
Paddy hadn't slept all day so was a bit grumpy. He had a little catnap and woke up to watch all of Nanna's concert. And wasn't too grumpy to be whisked away and meet all of Nanna's friends.
Thanks for inviting us Moya. We knew it would be great but were surprised with how much we enjoyed the night. Congratulations! We look forward to your next concert.
P.S Sorry about the photo - I dropped my camera so have to use my phone's camera which is not good. Olympus Tough my butt!!

A long overdue visit from Ra Ra

Of course she loved playing with Paddy and changing his nappy.
And she liked playing with Paddy's things as well.

Uncle Peter has gone home

And Paddy cried. He loved the visit from his Uncle Poc. I think Uncle Poc might miss Paddy Cook a bit too...
Luckily he will be here a fair bit over the next few months.

Cake Stall Cooking

I volunteered to cook for the Maleny Neighbourhood Centre cake stall. I cooked fudge, coconut ice, biscuits and cakes.

I did the cooking but I needed help from Gram who came and looked after Paddy while I cooked all day. It was fabulous!

Today we saw a hint of spring. Paddy was crusing around at the end of the day in summer clothes.

Winter might be gone. I am getting excited!

Paddy's First Day at the Beach

We went to Moffat Beach today - the first time Paddy has seen the water.

Coralie, Brett, Kate, Luke, Michael John, Kay and Matchew Roy all were there with beers and a footy.

Paddy felt the sand and then we got chased by the water. Didn't dare go in - it was freezing. But he was amused for at least half and hour which is a record.

When summer comes we will be spending a lot of time. I can't wait for him to feel the water.
Great afternoon - thanks guys!

Aunty Col's 50th Birthday Celebrations

Saturday night saw us at the CBX to celebrate Coralie's 50th birthday.

Paddy got lots of cuddles - especially from Auntie Joc who is missing her grand babies.

Lots of dancing to be done - of course by the birthday girl. Mum & Dad even got in on the action

Where was Paddy when all this was happening? Asleep...finally!

It was a really great night. Thanks Mick & Kate!

They are all staying at a beautiful beach house at Moffat Beach for a week - I think Paddy and I might be spending a bit of our time there as well.

Love you Auntie Col xoxo

We went to the Ekka!

Gram and Poppy took us to the Ekka for the day. Paddy had his first train ride which was super exciting.

He spent a lot of the day with pants off in the pram.

Watching the horse events in the arena with Poppy.

Poppy got the essential dagwood dog.

It was the first time that I have actually been anywhere other than sideshow alley at the Ekka. It was a really great day.

Winter has arrived.....

Gives us a chance to wear our hats.

We are out and about a lot these days - Paddy doesn't like staying at home and much prefers to walk the streets of Maleny. He will happily spend hours wandering around though if I try and spend more than 5 minutes inside a shop he gets very unhappy. That is unless the shop is the IGA which he absolutely loves.
And the big news on the Paddy front is that he now sleeps in his own room all night. No more cot at the end of the bed means we all get good sleeps. He is a super big boy now!

Troy's 24th Birthday

We spent Troy's 24th birthday with a dinner at his house. Troy got to choose the menu - steak, sausages, mashed potato and packet Alfredo. Not a bit of green in sight - just the way he likes it.
Of course the birthday cake was Chocolate Marbled Cheesecake and Troy's favourite dessert - ice-cream and milo.
Mum & Renee were too sick with a tummy bug to join us so the boys got stuck into Rock Band. Danny on the drums was a classic - especially after a few heavy stubbies.
Paddy woke up and had cuddles with Uncle Mister to end the night.
Great night with family and lots of laughs. Happy Birthday Uncle Mister
